Spring Break. It immediately connects with vacations, beaches, parties and more. But can't it be great without any of that too? I vote yes.

Let me preface this with the fact that I love everything about a typical spring break just as much as the next person. However, I have realized that spending the week relaxing at home can be just as nice. And here's why:

Sleep

School is exhausting, whether we like to admit it or not. Spring break can be a great time to catch up on some rest, take some spontaneous naps and let all the stress of school go. Do yourself a favor and find some time for rest this spring break, even if it's not under an umbrella on the beach.

Food

Yes, beach food rocks. All that yummy seafood that we don't necessarily get to eat all the time is a nice treat, but sometimes eating at home and making all the dishes that you don't ever seem to make time for can be pretty great too. Plus, with all the delicious food around East Texas you really can't go wrong.

$$$

As a girl, I'm a pro at spending money on anything and everything that I can. But spring break can really break the bank - pun intended. My logic tells me that if I can save money on spring break, I can have a really awesome summer vacation or some really wonderful new additions to my closet...so I say it's worth saving some cash.
