Jacksonville, Texas, is known as the Tomato Capital of the World. This title was given to the city back in the early 1900s when their delicious juicy tomatoes were shipped across the country. Folks from all parts still know a trip to Jacksonville will include a box or two of their famous tomatoes.

So that's why you can't miss out on the 30th Annual Jacksonville Tomato Fest! Besides tomatoes, Jacksonville is the home for the largest bowl of salsa. Yep, the largest bowl of salsa you've ever seen -- really!

The festival kicks off at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 14 and continues all day long with awesome activities for everyone. Of course there's a best home grown tomato contest, live entertainment, an antique car show, arts and crafts, an auction, health screenings, fishing tournament, kids club baby crawl, kids zone, motorcycle show, a got talent contest, history display, soccer tourney, salsa contest, tomato poster contest, photo booth, tennis tourney, tractor show, tomato eating contest, tomato drop and so much more!

See, I told you it was a full day of activities!

Don't miss the gospel concert from 5p-7pm and the 9th Annual Chili's Street Dance from 7p-10pm.
