Don't miss the Third Annual East Texas Comedy Festival at Liberty Hall on Friday, June 13-14. These comics have some pretty impressive resumes, including The Conan O’Brien Show, MADtv, Reno 911, Key and Peele, The Tonight Show and That 70s Show.   The festival will bring tons of laughter and comedy that has an edge! Local comedian Tyler Elliott will host Friday night’s stand-up comedy show.

Comedian Daryl Felsberg, whose album “Bad Fatitude” has played all over XM Sirius Radio’s Comedy Channels, will open the show and lead into headliner Jimmy Pardo from the “Conan O’Brien Show.”

Jimmy Pardo is one of the biggest names in standup comedy. He is the warm-up comic for Conan O’Brien and appears often on the show as a member of Team Coco. His standup style is very interactive, as he plays off of the live audience. New to the festival this year for late night, Friday, June 13 at 11 p.m. will be “Tyler Up Late!” hosted by Brandon Davidson. Davidson will be joined by a “house band,” the local hit “Struck by Hammerz.” The show will combine standup with a late night talk show format and lots of surprises.

Special guest appearances by newly crowned “East Texas Funniest Comic” Ross Day and first runner up, 9-year-old comedian, Saffy Herndon.

Saturday night at 8 p.m., the festival continues featuring the improv madness of Tyler’s own Card 53, featuring new members from Dallas’s Fourth Wall Comedy. Following Card 53 will be Alice and Edward, who will get a one-word suggestion to inspire a series of scenes never performed before and completely off the cuff. This will be much like an improvised sitcom.

Alice & Edward are the middle names of Susan Messing and Frank Caeti. Frank Caeti was a cast member of the hit sketch TV show MADtv and has appeared as a guest many times on “Key and Peele.” Her show, “Messing with a Friend,” is one of the most popular improv shows in Chicago. She performed last year as a headliner in the TBS Just for Laugh’s Festival in Chicago with SNL’s Tim Meadows.

Frank and Susan will also be teaching improv workshops during the day on Saturday for the public to attend. Previous improv or theatre experience is highly recommended but not required.

The Third Annual East Texas Comedy Festival is not intended for children.
