55-Year-Old Grandmother Auditions to Be Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader [VIDEO]

Never give up on your dreams is more than a saying to 55-year-old Sharon Simmons. It’s now her motto! After giving up on her initial dream at 22 years old of becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, at 55 years old, last weekend, she auditioned for the world-famous squad!Simmons said of her auditioning:

I thought, that’s something I never tried. I always wanted to try out. I got real close in my early 20s, but got busy raising my daughter. And I thought, why not now?”

When asked about her auditioning up against hundreds of much younger hopefuls, she stated:

“I don’t see a number. If I do, it’s just a number. It’s not that I can’t keep up with [younger women] in the physical part of the training.”
