Loved it, loved it and loved it! That's my review of the blockbuster hit, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire." Seriously, I caught the flick over the weekend and my only complaint about the movie is it was over too quickly!  I've already let it be known that I am a huge fan of The Hunger Games trilogy. Of course, the books are usually better than the movie because the author has more time to tell the story in detail. This second installment of Suzanne Collins' "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," kept a lot of the great elements that are in the book. So this made me happy.

It was obvious from the beginning of the movie that Jennifer Lawrence, who plays the female lead Katniss Everdeen, has grown tremendously as an actress. This young actress really shows her "chops" in this movie. (It also doesn't hurt that the camera loves her either!) She played her part with truth, passion and conviction.

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" picks up after the last Hunger Games with Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark finding themselves targets of the Capitol after their victory in the 74th Hunger Games starts a rebellion in the Districts of Panem.

Because of their win, Katniss and Peeta now must go on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. It quickly becomes apparent that a rebellion is in the making, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) -- a game where all the past victors compete to the death!

I was so adsorbed in the movie, that the movie seemed too short, but it was actually over two hours long. If you liked the first "Hunger Games" you'll love "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."

I would recommend catching this movie sometime over the Thanksgiving holiday.
