The holiday shopping season isn't officially underway, but the bad behavior of people in stores has already begun.

A woman who complained the mother of a child throwing a fit in a Colma, California store says the mother punched her in the face after she asked the mother to calm down her child.

The incident took place at a checkout line at Nordstrom Rack. The child is reportedly between 4 and 6.

Natalie Bree Hajek-Richardson said the tyke was just a little too loud. “It didn’t bother me that the child was throwing the tantrum, but the volume was very loud, it was hurting my ears," she said.

Hajek-Richardson says she pleasantly asked the mother to make sure the kid piped down, but that's when things got hostile.

I told her to go to hell and she told me I’ll see you there."

Hajek-Richardson says the mother followed her out of the store where they continued arguing. There's video of a physical confrontation and both women falling down. Hajek-Richardson says she was punched twice in the face and may lose three teeth.

Police, meanwhile, continue to look for the other woman.
