Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert Featured on ‘The Hunger Games’ Soundtrack
Just this week, iTunes finally revealed the full tracklisting for the long-awaited soundtrack to the highly-anticipated upcoming film, ‘The Hunger Games,’ and thankfully, a few country names made the list. We’ve known for quite some time now that Taylor Swift‘s collaboration with the Civil Wars, ‘Safe and Sound,’ would be included, and it’s actually at the top of the list.
The Civil Wars’ Joy Williams Expecting First Child
The Civil Wars had quite a week. After winning two Grammy Awards at last night’s ceremony, one for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and one for Best Folk Album, the vintage duo also gave a stellar performance of their ever-popular tune, ‘Barton Hollow.’ Then, backstage after the performance, the female half of the duo, Joy Williams, spilled the beans that she and her husband/the band’s manager Nate Yetton have a bun in the oven.

After a string of serious health issues and hospitalizations, 74-year-old Merle Haggard said in a statement on Wednesday that he’s “feeling good and ready to get back on the bus.” This comes after the Country Music Hall of Famer was hospitalized multiple times in the past few months, receiving treatment for double pneumonia, stomach ulcers, the removal of eight polyps from his colon and esophageal diverticulitis.
Brad Paisley Claims Paul McCartney Has the ‘Worst Album Title of the Year’
Yep, it’s true that Brad Paisley has been taking some humorous shots at Paul McCartney‘s most recent album title. At the same time, it’s also true that Sir McCartney selected a moniker he most certainly assumed might take some flack from the music community. One can hardly land on a title like ‘Kisses on the Bottom’ without first thinking through the potential ramifications (and public commentaries).
Eric Church Enraged by Ticket Brokers Scalping His Concert Tickets
Eric Church has never been one to hoist up the cost of his concert tickets to pad his pockets. In fact, he says that goes against his entire philosophy as an artist, as his goal has always been to get more people to his shows rather than more money per ticket sale. With this mentality, then, it’s not surprising that the Grammy-nominated singer is so peeved about what’s been happening at shows all along his Blood, Sweat and Beers Tour. Church has some choice words for the big ticket brokers that have been purchasing his tickets and scalping them to fans.

Miranda Lambert Breaks Into Tears During Alabama Concert
Country sweetheart and Lindale's own Miranda Lambert has been in the news a good bit lately, and most of the headlines have revolved around the personal tragedies she’s encountered in the past couple of weeks. The ‘Baggage Claim’ singer had to deal with the death of her father-in-law, her childhood friend and even her beloved dog, Dixie. Though Lambert has been dealing with these losses, she kept most of her On Fire Tour in tact, but the emotion of everything overcame her at a Huntsville, Ala. show Thursday night. There, Lamber broke down crying in the middle of her nostalgic hit ‘The House That Built Me.’
