Pistol Annies’ ‘Hell on Heels’ Tops iTunes Album Sales Chart
They might be ‘Hell on Heels,’ but the Pistol Annies didn’t have any problem walking all the way up to the top of the iTunes album sales chart this week– and with real speed, after only 36 hours on sale.
Of course, it helps that iTunes is the only retailer that officially has the album at this point, but it’s still a pretty impressive sign of the demand for the trio’s debut that it’s currently out
Rising Star Hunter Hayes Sets October 11 Release Date for Self-Titled Debut Album
Taylor Swift was all of 16 when she released her debut album. By comparison, her recent tourmate, 19-year-old Hunter Hayes, is a bit of a fogey — but by any other measure, he’s releasing his first record at an impressively young age.
The budding hitmaker, who got his big break co-writing a track from Rascal Flatts’ ‘Nothing Like This Album’ and scored his first top 30 hit earlier this year with ‘S

Joe Jonas Says Taylor Swift Isn’t Focus of His New Song, ‘See No More’
Joe Jonas‘ new single, ‘See No More,’ details the aftermath of a nasty breakup, so it’s perhaps understandable that tongues are wagging about the possibility that it was inspired by the end of his relationship with ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift.

Zac Brown Explains His Beanie-Lovin’ Ways
When we think of country’s most noteworthy hat acts, we tend to think of guys wearing cowboy hats — stars like George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, Alan Jackson, and Brad Paisley. But the term could also apply to Zac Brown, who’s rarely seen without a beanie.
And, as Brown recently explained during a stop at WYCD, it’s more than just a fashion choice.
Mary Chapin Carpenter Debuts New Songs on Tour
Mary Chapin Carpenter is still touring behind her most recent studio album, 2010′s ‘The Age of Miracles,’ but she’s already thinking about where her songwriting muse might lead her next.
In fact, she says she’s written a handful of new material for her next album — and she’s even taken the opportunity to debut some of the songs on the road.
Alan Jackson Invited to Perform at 9/11 Memorial Concert
In the days after the September 11 attacks, Alan Jackson put his emotions into song with ‘Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning),’ an eventual country number one hit that also broke into the top 30 on the pop charts.
Ten years later, the track is regarded as one of the defining moments of Jackson’s career — and he has been asked to perform it at the upcoming Concert for Hope, held to comm

All things being equal, it doesn’t seem terribly likely that any of us will end up frolicking on in the surf with Taylor Swift anytime soon.
Fortunately for anyone who’d like to have the chance, Taylor has been kind enough to share a few photos from her recent beach vacation.
