Azalea Arts + Crafts Fair Returns to Bergfeld Park During Azalea Trail

Spring is just a few weeks away and soon East Texas will be filled with beautiful colors from spring flowers, budding leaves on the trees and you can't forget about the pollen, too! Tyler celebrates the spring by hosting the annual Azalea Trail each year by showcasing azalea blooms throughout the Azalea District. Right in the middle of the action sits Bergfeld Park, the site of the arts and crafts fair this year.

More than 90 vendors will be set up throughout the park selling handmade crafts that include (but aren't limited to) pottery, candles, quilts, blown glass creations, photography, wood working, floral arrangements and more. Debbie Isham, special events and recreation manager at Tyler Parks and Recreation, describes some of this year's entertainment:

New this year will be live entertainment throughout the day on Saturday with special guests the Caddo Culture Club, a Native American dance group to perform at 1 p.m. and the Sean Haynes Band providing our afternoon concert at 4 p.m. Also new is a Fun Family Time on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. with special games such as the three legged race. It’s going to be a lot of fun."

There is no charge to attend the arts and crafts fair, however a Kid's Zone will be available for a small charge along with concessions, too.

The event will run Saturday March 29 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
