You can take one look at Miranda Lambert or listen to one of her songs, and it's obvious she's not a regular girly-girl who grew up in a perfect house with a white picket fence. She's edgy, honest and likes to push the envelope.

And this weekend, Great American Country is going to dive in deeper into the life of East Texas native Miranda Lambert when it premieres "Backstory: Miranda Lambert" at 8 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 19) on GAC.

The show looks at Miranda's life growing up, from the time the Lamberts' family business took a crushing blow, to the time Miranda auditioned for "Nashville Star" at age 19, and all the way to her path to superstardom in the world of country music.

It looks to take an angle we're all familiar with -- a view into the world of a fiery, feisty singer who is both emotional and edgy. Dierks Bentley, who is alongside Miranda on the Locked & Reloaded Tour right now, even chimes in on what life is like in country music with the Lindale High School grad.
