William Shatner! In the studio with Big D and Bubba! It was a great time!

Why was William Shatner in the studio? A new Star Trek project? Something new on TV? Nope. William has a new country album out that he got some help from Jeff Cook of Alabama on. It's called "Why Not Me" and available where ever you get your music.

Take a listen to a couple of tracks:

There you go. Pick up the album if you like it.

But, of course, when you are talking to William Shatner, you have to talk to him about what he most known for, Captain James Tiberius "Jim" Kirk on the original Star Trek.

One cool piece of info we found out about the show was that there was a stage hand whose job was to open and close the door on the Enterprise. Yeah, no automation, no button to press to open it, a guy would open and close the door for the actors to walk through.

Patrick told a nice story of his dad taking him to see Star Trek 4. To see it, his dad took him to rent the earlier movies so Patrick could catch up on the story.

William will be going on a tour this year where a theater where show Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn. Afterwards, he will come out for a Q&A session about the movie.

All in all, it was a fantastic piece of radio with a Hollywood legend and Big D and Bubba.
