"The Voice" coach Blake Shelton has played a role teaching and listening to plenty of talent on the hit reality singing show. And he takes his role personally -- even to the point of calling out a critic on Twitter.

Shelton and Twitter user @JKxZ exchanged some heated words over the social network Tuesday night involving contestants on "The Voice" previously having recording contracts.

It even got to the point where Shelton announced to his 1.1 million followers: "Hey @JKxZ ... It's not that I don't see your point. It's just that I simply don't give a shit what you have to say...."

@JKxZ was outspoken about his hate for the show because it allowed competitors who previously had record deals to be on the show. For Blake Shelton, there's nothing wrong with a second chance. Have a look at some of their back-and-forth, which in itself is surprising, seeing a celebrity exchange that many words with a non-celeb on Twitter.
