Taste of Country Nights host Sam Alex caught up with Brantley Gilbert during 2015 CMA Awards week, right after Gilbert learned his sophomore album Just as I Am went platinum.

To commemorate the moment, Gilbert offered Alex a signed certificate, thanking our nightly host for his support and help on the success of his album. But it was missing something: A frame.

"Man, I would have framed it, but my wife, all that stuff we got in frames for wedding presents, got reframed. So I was like, I'm not gonna make him go through all that," Gilbert states as an excuse.

Sam Alex remarks that the last time he saw Gilbert's place, he had a single frame, and dared to ask the question of just how many frames there are in his home currently now that there's the Mrs. living there.

"A bunch. She's nesting," Gilbert continues, quickly clarifying, "But there's no eggs."

Take that to mean there won't be a baby Gilbert in the next nine months, but that doesn't mean they aren't preparing for a new family member to arrive eventually. The "Stone Cold Sober" singer explains that there is construction happening at his house, expanding out for when the time is right in the future.

Gilbert is getting ready to head out on his upcoming international Black Out Tour. The U.S. leg of the trek will kick off on Jan. 28 in Saginaw, Mich., and will wrap April 30 in Nebraska. This tour will include oversea shows in the U.K., Germany, the Netherlands and Australia, in addition to playing arenas across Canada.
