NFL.com reports stemming from a domestic violence allegations against him, the NFL has come to a final ruling a few weeks ahead of the team’s training camp. The league has decided to suspend the 2016 NFL rushing leader for count 6 games which means after their bye week he will make his return in Week 8 against their division rival the Washington Redskins.

According tot he NFL's Personal Conduct Policy, it states that players found by the league to have committed domestic violence are subject to 'a baseline suspension without pay of six games" regardless of whether "the conduct does not result in a criminal conviction."

The policy also states:

In cases where a player is not charged with a crime, or is charged, but not convicted he may still be found to have violated the policy if the credible evidence establishes that he engaged in conduct prohibited by the Personal Conduct Policy.

This isn't the first time the league looked into reprimanding Elliott.  In March, Elliott was caught pulling down a woman's shirt and exposing her on the roof of a Dallas bar during a St. Patrick's Day parade.

The Cowboy's aren't hurting in the backfield with the additions of Darren McFadden, Alfred Morris, and Ronnie Hillman to their depth chart.  However, being without your star running back over something that could have possibly been avoided is just not a good look for him, the league or the team.

Ezekiel is in his second year with the Cowboys and after rushing 1,631 yards and 15 touchdowns, his presence will definitely be missed on the field.

Let's hope he can make better decisions if he wants to continue in the NFL.
