Brett Eldredge appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers Tuesday (June 2) to perform his lusty new single "Lose My Mind," but while he was there he also revealed news of his long-awaited second album.

Calling the project Illinois after the velvet-voiced singer's home state, Eldredge said the new album will be released Sept. 11. It will be the followup to Eldredge's Bring You Back debut release, which included the back-to-back-to-back No. 1 singles "Don't Ya," "Beat of the Music" and "Mean to Me."

"Lose My Mind," the first single from the just-announced second album, features a guitar-riff hook reminiscent of early '00s pop-punk and steamy vocals all about romantic desire: "You make all my screws come loose / Got me perfectly confused / Always find a way to mess me up and drive me wild / I love the way you make me lose my mind."

On Seth Meyers' show, Eldredge performed the song with his five-piece band, tearing at his shirt and leaning on his mic stand as if the girl in his song had sapped every ounce of his energy. "Lose My Mind" was co-written by the country star and Ross Copperman.

Eldredge is currently a special guest on Darius Rucker's Southern Style tour, as well as headlining his own concerts. He'll take part in tthe CMA Music Festival in Nashville from June 11-14, hosting his fan club party on June 12 and taking the massive LP Field main stage on June 13 as part of the festival's star-studded nightly stadium concerts.
