The wait is over. Now the lineup reveal can begin for the 2016 Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival in Downtown Tyler, presented by Tyler Ford.

Bri Bagwell, who broke out with her 2015 album When a Heart Breaks, will kick things off at this year's festival. She will be the first of five acts to take the stage on a day to celebrate the best in Texas barbecue and live music.

Bagwell is a two-time TRRR Female Vocalist of the Year who made a splash on the scene with her 2011 hit, "Whiskey."

She has solidified herself as a premier female artist in Texas and Red Dirt Music, shown by the success of her latest album. Her song "My Boots" off When a Heart Breaks reached the top of the Texas Music Charts for her first-ever No. 1 single.

"In a year when Texas country has seen several fantastic albums released by an exciting new generation of female artists, Bri Bagwell has arguably made the flashiest splash," the Dallas Observer wrote.

The Houston Press listed When a Heart Breaks as its second-best Texas Country album of 2015, saying Bagwell's album "was just too good for anyone to ignore."

The 2016 Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival is Saturday, May 14, on the brick streets of Downtown Tyler. This year 20 barbecue joints from all over Texas will be on hand, sampling their smoked meats, and live music will be heard from beginning to end.

Four more artists are still set to be announced, with one being announced each day the rest of this week.

Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at RedDirtBBQFest.com. The festival has sold out both years, and it is expected to sell out again in 2016.

VIP tickets are $90, which included an hour-earlier entry, a festival t-shirt, access to a VIP area and access to the standing room only area in front of the stage for the concert. General admission tickets are $50 and include both the barbecue and music portions, and concert-only tickets are $25.
