At some stores and homes, the Christmas decorations were up before Thanksgiving.
Those of us that did put up the Christmas tree before carving the turkey have been accused of breaking holiday rules, but rather than rebellious it seemed convenient to me. We got the decorating out of the way early, and could concentrate on matters like shopping!
We all know that the day after tomorrow will be a hectic day. Black Friday will be full of car horns honking, tempers flaring, and general chaos. The traffic will not just plague the streets, but the aisles of the stores filled with mayhem and anger. What could happen if this situation gets out of control?

Throughout the entire month of October Smith County residents and East Texans dropped off new and gently used coats at participating dry cleaners throughout Smith County to be cleaned and donated to PATH's Coats For Kids program where kids without a winter coat can receive one for free.
A couple of weeks ago we were at a friends house and I ended up watching "The Polar Express" starring Tom Hanks with one of their small children, it's a movie I've seen many times and this time I got sucked into watching the entire thing that evening and you know, it never gets old!
