Last week Casey Donahew Band's brand new album "Double-Wide Dream" hit stores with a bang, reaching as high as number 2 on iTunes Country downloads. As part of his week-long album release celebration Casey stopped by to perform on The KNUE Front Porch and he hung out on Radio Texas Live, where we played album cuts off "Double-Wide Dream" and Casey gave us some background on the new tunes.
On Wednesday, the Casey Donahew Band graced our staff and listeners with a private performance on the KNUE Front Porch. The guys were gearing up for their CD release party at Electric Cowboy, and they stopped by to perform some new tunes, as well as the ones we know and love.

Casey Donahew is not only selling out venues in Texas from Dallas to Houston and Abilene to right here in Tyler, he's bringing out monstrous crowds in places like Colorado and Kansas. And KNUE is proud to welcome him to our Front Porch for a special acoustic performance and BBQ from Stanley's this Wednesday afternoon at 1pm. What's cool about this Front Porch is this week is the release of his highly anticipated album "Double-Wide Dream" available online and in stores 10.25.11.
Last week I invited Aaron Watson to Radio Texas Live but it seemed Aaron was a little confused what this invitation meant. Apparently he thought an invitation to Radio Texas Live meant he was in charge, he was wrong. Besides butting heads we also play an abbreviated version of 5 Questions, debate baseball and debut his brand new single "Fast Cars Slow Kisses".
Friday was a good day here at The KNUE studios, we had Aaron Watson in to perform for nearly 50 listeners and we all ate Stanley's BBQ -- and tonight Aaron Watson returns to KNUE for the official Radio Texas Live debut of his brand new single 'Fast Cars ans Slow Kisses' he'll hang out for a while and I've got 5 Questions for 'The Honky Tonk Kid' we'll see how he performs under that kinda pressure.
This past Friday our good friend Brandon Rhyder stopped by to perform on The KNUE Front Porch, before a show that night at Where's Rufus Sports Bar -which if you're wondering was an AWESOME show. Anyway, he showed back up Saturday night on Radio Texas Live and hung out for a bit and if you missed it, not anymore here it is for ya!

I suppose we can't say, conclusively the jump on the chart has to do only with him coming by here but, Kyle Bennett DID stop by KNUE to perform on our Front Porch for a bunch of our listeners before his concert at Electric Cowboy and he came back that Saturday for his first appearance on Radio Texas Live, which all was followed by a big jump on the charts. Are the events related? --I guess we'll never know for sure.
Kyle Bennett sings many great songs including his latest single 'Here In This Town' which is Top 20 on the Texas charts and rising but there's one song in particular released a while back that I'm still getting requests for on the reg, it's just one of those songs that people connect with --it's a Corb Lund song called 'Time To Switch To Whiskey' and of course Kyle sang it Wednesday when he stopped in on The KNUE Front Porch but he sang quite a few more and I intend to share a few of the performances with you.
His new LIVE album titled 'Live at the Pub 2' drops this Tuesday and this past Wednesday Johnny Cooper stopped by The KNUE studio to sing for some of our listeners. Cooper has never been one for making music any way but his own, and his new single 'Hot Mess' may not be what people would call a traditional country song, cause it's not...

Our buddy Rich O'Toole stopped in to perform on The KNUE Front Porch for some great listeners this afternoon and kept everyone entertained with some great stories and music!
Known more for pleasing fans than pleasing management and record labels, Rich decided to release the fan favorite Marijuana And Jalapenos as his new single, a move that could see the end to his run of 9 straight Top 10 songs in Texas, but it's no big secret that is not what's important to Rich.
