A caring, intriguing and helpful Chick-Fil-A manager/owner in Birmingham, Ala., consoles and helps a homeless man who walks into his restaurant on a brutally cold day. On Jan. 7, the owner of the restaurant, Mark Meadows, noticed a man entering his establishment wearing only jeans and a hoodie, which was odd on this day because it was extremely cold. The gentleman asked Mark if there was some work he could do so that he could get something to eat.

Before interacting with this customer, Mark felt this man was in need of something. Instead of calling the police and having the man removed from the premises, he asked the man to have a seat and was going to get him a meal. Upon going to the counter, Mark noticed this man rubbing his hands together and noticed they were really cold. Mark gave his gloves to the man along with a chicken sandwich meal and the homeless man thanked him and soon left.

Mark went about his day not thinking more about what he had done until another customer caught his act of generosity on camera and posted a pic of the encounter on her Facebook page. Andrea Stoker was having lunch at Chick-fil-A with her son and noticed this interaction and turned it into a life teaching moment for her son.

She posted on Facebook,

Bryson and I are sitting in Chick Fil A on 280 so B can play while Jenna is at the vet next door. A man walked in to get warm with all of his earthly possessions on his back. The manager, who is on his break, got up and asked the man if he could get him anything. Before the man could even answer, the manager asked if the man had any gloves and handed him his, then got him the meal of his choice. There is still so much good in this world and I'm so grateful that Bryson saw it all unfold."

Her post has since been shared more than 14,000 times. In an interview with a local TV station, they asked Mark why he was so generous to this man, his reply, "It all comes from Truett Cathy and the Cathy family and the principles Chick-fil-A has been established on. And those principles are 'to glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who come into contact with Chick-fil-A.'"
