Clay Walker has teamed up with Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and Joel and Victoria Osteen of Lakewood Church to host a benefit concert to raise money and awareness for the Greater Houston Storm Relief Fund. The fund aims to provide donations and financial assistance to residents of Houston who recently suffered from recent floods in the area.

"Houston has been home to me for most of my life," Walker says in a press release. "It is an honor to help those in need by joining together to heal hearts and repair the structures that shelter so many families who make up the rich fabric of our community. This is an opportunity to do good and feel good inside by uplifting our neighbors and showing them we care and are willing to share in their struggle as we all rebuild."

The benefit concert will be held on Friday, May 20 at 8PM at Lakewood Church. The lineup will feature locally and nationally known musicians, celebrities and community leaders. Donations will allow concertgoers access to the live concert. Those not in attendance can support the cause by texting HOUSTON to 91999 or sending a check to the Greater Houston Community Foundation/Greater Houston Storm Relief Form. More information on how to donate is available at houstonrecovers.org.

"So many people in our area suffered extreme loss due to these recent floods," Mayor Turner adds. "Many lost more than possessions — jobs, family members, homes and in some cases their livelihood. It is our privilege to come together and help our fellow Houstonians recover. I thank all of the wonderful people who have made this opportunity to help others in a big way possible."
