Click It or Ticket Campaign Kicks Off Monday

Click It or Ticket begins Monday with an emphasis from law enforcement for those not wearing a seat belt.

Here are some sobering statistics from Texas involving accidents without seat belts:

  • ┬áIn 2015, there were 114 crashes in the Tyler District in which occupants sustained fatal or serious injuries
  • 1 in every 10, or two million, Texas drivers and passengers do not wear their seat belt
  • In 2015, there were 2,300 crashes in Texas where the unbuckled driver or passenger was either killed or seriously injured

The campaign begins Monday and runs through June 5.
