Coby Hudgins Charged With Shooting Death of Cayla Williams in Kilgore

A 17-year-old teenager has died and a 22-year-old has been charged with her death after a shooting Saturday night in Kilgore.

According to media reports, Coby Ray Hudgins, of Kilgore, is being held in Gregg County Jail on bonds of more than $100,000 for the death of Cayla Williams, of Kilgore.

The shooting happened after 9 p.m. Saturday night on Mustang Drive in Kilgore. Officers arrived to the scene to find Williams dead, and witnesses pointed authorities in the direction of Hudgins.

Hudgins fled the scene and was found after wrecking his vehicle on FM 2087, where he was charged with driving while intoxicated.
