Country For Our Country: East Texans Supporting Local Wounded Warriors

Country for our Country returns to Vila Di Felicita in Tyler on September 24, 2011.  The local, annual event was started in 2009 by a group of local business owners with the help of Deputy Commander of The Texas Army National Guard, General “Red” Brown and many other local community and business members.

The goal of Country for our Country is to raise support for East Texas wounded warriors, warriors that have put their lives in harm’s way in support of our freedoms and provide them an avenue to succeed upon their return to East Texas from often times long tours in combat zones like Iraq and Afghanistan.

This year we welcome Country Music superstar Sara Evans, perennial favorite Derek Sholl -who’s song ‘When They Come Back, We Give Back’ is the theme song of Country for our Country.  And we are proud to welcome a new addition this year Chase And The New South.

This year, VIP style tables that seat up to 10 people will be sold.  Many local businesses are purchasing them but we also encourage you to gather your friends together and go in together to reserve one.  Contact information to do that can be found right here.

You can also reserve your table with Chelsea Kring at Villa Di Felicita by calling (903) 597-0002 or David Irwin at (903) 597-9331.

Not a business owner or don’t have 10 people to go with you? Buy individual tickets right here.  All individual ticket holders will be sat at VIP tables as well.

This is sure to be quite an amazing and very intimate concert.

Some event highlights, in addition to the live music include: Military Displays, Live Auctions, Silent Auctions, a Texas Fallen Heroes Memorial Wall and this will be the first year for what is sure to be a stirring tribute it’s The Road To Freedom.  Read more about all of these at CountryForOurCountry.org

I am also proud to share that this week will be a very special Country for our Country Edition of Radio Texas Live as we welcome General ‘Red’ Brown, title sponsor Tyler Ford‘s David Irwin and local wounded warrior and hero Andy Burnett, who has volunteered to share his amazing story and also how this local, 100% volunteer charity has impacted his life.

We hope to see everyone out at Vila Di Felicita September 24, in the mean time here’s Country for our Country’s theme song, Derek Sholl’s ‘When They Come Back, We Give Back’ -give it a listen.
