We know that football is highly competitive, and coaches will do just about anything to get an advantage over the other teams...but that leads to some pretty bizarre techniques.

Dallas Cowboys Tight Ends Coach Mike Pope might have taken things a little too far, in a strange way. In an attempt to enhance his players’ “mental toughness” Coach Pope had all the tight ends take their shirts off and catch passes all while being splashed with cold water. Surprisingly, that’s not where his bizarre coaching strategies ended. Another “mental toughness” drill involved mesh laundry bags covering the helmets of the players while they caught passes.

Either coach Pope went off the deep-end or he is a football genius, but either way, you can’t blame him for trying to put a spark back into the Cowboys. Let’s just hope these bold strategies turn into wins on Sundays.
