Spring officially arrives next Thursday (March 20), signifying the beginning of the Dogwood Trails Celebration in Palestine on Friday! For three weeks, the blooms on these trees will be front and center with thousands of visitors walking and riding along the trail marveling at their beauty in Davey Dogwood Park and throughout neighborhoods within the city.

The Dogwood Festival helps kick off the festivities and will be held in Historic Downtown Palestine on Saturday, March 22. This family friendly event will feature live music, entertainment, parade, beer garden, art and crafts along with a special kids area and more.

The festival gets underway with the parade beginning at 10a Saturday (22nd) and will feature more than 90 arts and crafts vendors selling everything from wood carvings, glass creations to hand stitched items and more. Music will begin around 1 p.m. with Lauren Alexander followed by Phil Pritchett at 3 p.m. From 6 to 10 p.m. on the Anderson County Courthouse square, festival-goers can check out a classic car show that will feature antique cars and hot rods along with music from the '50s and' 60s. The festival lasts until 10 p.m. in downtown Palestine.
