East Texas native Kacey Musgraves, one of country music's up-and-coming stars, will open for Lady Antebellum on their Own The Night 2012 World Tour, according to a report from Country Music Rocks.

Musgraves, who hails from the tiny town of Golden, Texas, and finished seventh on Nashville Star in 2007, will join superstar group Lady Antebellum for six concert dates across Europe.

“I feel so lucky and excited to be going out on the road – and halfway around the world – with Lady Antebellum,” Musgraves told Country Music Rocks. “I’m gonna bring my Lady-A game!”

Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley reflected Musgraves' excitement.

“Kacey is a really talented singer/songwriter, and we’re just big fans of her music,”  Kelley said. “Keith Urban was gracious enough to invite us to Australia with him a few years ago, so we know what a big opportunity it is for a new artist to be able to go tour overseas. We’re excited to take Kacey with us!”

What should be a huge stepping stone for Musgraves' career comes at a great time, as Musgraves' plans to open for John Mayer on an 18-stop tour were put aside when Mayer canceled the tour due to illness.

Musgraves is currently in the studio recording her first album, and her debut single should be out later this year.

Here are the dates Kacey will perform with Lady Antebellum:

July 10: Dublin, Ireland
July 11: Dublin, Ireland
July 13: Glasgow, UK
July 15: Manchester, UK
July 16: London, UK
July 17: Birmingham, UK
