East Texas Student Found on School Campus with a Loaded Gun

An East Texas student is jailed after authorities found a loaded gun and ammunition in his backpack at school.

The 19-year-old senior was in possession of a loaded handgun on the campus of the Marshall school districts alternative education program. Marshall Police says a security guard discovered the weapon.

Marshall ISD administration has directed all information to be released by police, but did acknowledge the incident occurred. No injuires were reported.
