eBay Hacked — It’s Time to Change Your Password

Have an account on eBay? It’s time to change your password.

The incredibly popular auction site is the latest victim of a major data breach, and it released a statement saying an entire database containing encrypted passwords was breached.

Financial information, including credit card numbers, for members is said to still be safe. eBay said the hackers were able to obtain employee login information, which allowed them the opportunity to steal the password database.

The database is encrypted, but the hackers still have access to were able to access members’ names, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, and dates of birth.
