Nashville’s super-group of uber-talented female musicians, songwriters and vocalists is now a quartet. Farewell Angelina have welcomed Lauren Lucas to their roster, adding even more musical acumen to the group's resume.

The band, which includes Nicole Witt, Andrea Young and Lisa Torres, is a list of the who's who on Nashville’s Music Row, so adding Lucas was a no-brainer, according to the rest of the women.

"When we thought about adding a member, Lauren is the only person we considered," the members of Farewell Angelina say in a news release. "We knew that she would be the perfect fit for our band!!"

Between them, Farewell Angelina have lent their talents to many other artists, having had songs cut by stars including George Strait, Lee Brice and Rodney Atkins, and also adding their vocals or instrumental talents to songs from Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean and Jerrod Niemann.

Joining the group of heavy-hitters is a dream come true for Lucas.

"The women in Farewell Angelina and I have written songs together for years, cut each other's songs on solo projects and have even been to each other's weddings,” she says. "We have a rich history together as a band of musical collaborators and friends. I could have never dreamt that an opportunity to have a career making music with some of my longest-standing friends and finest musicians in Nashville could come my way. I am so proud to join Farewell Angelina."

The band released their debut self-titled EP this summer, and their new single, “If It Ain’t With You,” is slated to hit the radio waves this fall.
