The 2018 NFL Draft was in Arlington at AT&T Stadium this weekend. All 32 NFL teams picked up players that hopefully will help define their futures.

Four of those players came from our East Texas football fields according to KLTV.

In round four, the Houston Texans took Lufkin native Keke Coutee. He played wide receiver at the Texas Tech.

Also in the fourth round, the Los Angeles Rams took Greenville native John Franklin who played defensive end at Stephen F. Austin.

In the sixth round, the Los Angeles Chargers went to Whitehouse to draft wide receiver Dylan Cantrell. He also played at Texas Tech.

In the final round, round 7, Longview's Travin Howard was selected by the Los Angeles Rams. He played linebacker at TCU.

Congratulations to our East Texas boys for making the jump to the professional level. We hope to see you on Sunday this fall.
