Today was a special day for me. One of my all-time favorite artists joined me on the air for the High Noon Saloon, Garth Brooks.

We talked about his incredible comeback tour, life, sports movies, album cuts and GhostTunes. My life has been full of his music for as long as I can remember. His wife Trisha Yearwood's hit, 'The Song Remembers When,' really tells the story of how his life has influenced mine.

So many of his songs trigger fun and meaningful times in my life. I remember listening to 'Papa Love Mama' and 'Rodeo' while bouncing up and down on my neighbor's trampoline. 'The Dance' always evokes memories of my family members that are no longer with me, and in school I learned a sign language routine to 'The River.'

Don't even get me started on how many times I blared the stereo while listening to 'Ain't Going Down Till the Sun Comes Up' (too many to count), or how I had memorized every word to his album 'The Hits.'

I'll never forget the time my best friend's crush serenaded her on a cruise with 'Friends in Low Places,' and every time I hear 'Long Neck Bottle,' I remember playing basketball in the driveway to my mix-tape I had recorded off the radio.

Garth's music has always been a part of my life, and it was a true pleasure to visit with him today. I'll be online at TicketMaster.com with the rest of you trying to buy tickets for his upcoming Dallas dates at the American Airlines Center on September 18-19.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, July 24.
