George Jones Cancels Another Show Due to Illness

Legendary country singer George Jones has canceled another scheduled show due to illness. The entertainer’s date on Friday (Nov. 2) at Shooting Star Casino, Hotel and Event Center in Mahnomen, Minn. will not go on as planned due to a virus Jones contracted.
Ironically, the date had already been re-scheduled from April, when Jones canceled due to an upper respiratory infection. The casino says so far there are no plans to re-schedule the date again. A statement from the star’s managers says he is being treated by doctors. Jones’ website shows that he’s also canceled a date for Nov. 3 at Mountain Grand Casino in Deadwood, S.C., but a show on Nov. 9 is still on the books.
The 81-year-old singer has canceled a number of dates this year, first in April, then again in May. In August, Jones announced his farewell tour, which he has scheduled for 2013. Hopefully, this latest round of health woes won’t put a damper on those plans.
