A 36 year old Grand Prairie father has been acquitted of the theft of his teenage daughter's cell phone.
The father took the phone after he found an inappropiate text message on it.

The girl's mother said she owned the phone and called police after he would not return the device, saying he had stolen it.

Ther father posted a $1,500 bail but then was issued a citation for misdemeanor theft in the mail.

He refused to pay and won when he went to court.
