Green River Ordinance Announced as Opening Band for Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival
The first-ever Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival in Downtown Tyler has announced its opening band to join a lineup that already includes Randy Rogers Band — and it’s a good one.
Fort Worth’s own Green River Ordinance will open the show, announced on the festival’s Facebook page on Friday.
Green River Ordinance boasted the third-most played song on the Texas Music Chart in 2013 with “It Ain’t Love.” Their ability to cross over has been very apparent over the years — their single “Come On” reached No. 17 on the Adult Top 40 chart and “On Your Own” reached No. 37 on the same chart.
Red Dirt is Saturday, May 3, 2014 around the square in Downtown Tyler. The festival will feature the best in barbecue, music and beer from around the Lone Star State.
Fifteen of the best barbecue restaurants from all over Texas will be on hand at the event for festival-goers to sample smoked meats from each one — similar to an experience you would find at Texas Monthly’s annual BBQ festival in Austin.
More music will be announced for the lineup soon, so stay tuned!
Ticket prices and more details are still to come. Be sure and like Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival on Facebook, follow it on Twitter and go sign up for email updates at their website, which will go live very soon.
