Infamous hacker group "Anonymous" has issued a threat against the city of Longview, TX after three officers shot and killed a 17-year-old girl who brandished a weapon at them in the police station last week.

The three officers involved in the shooting of Kristiana Coignard have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. According to reports, Coignard entered the police station and asked to speak to one of the officers, then pulling out a weapon, believed to be a knife, and approached the officers in a threatening manner, then was shot several times. The Longview Police Department issued a statement on their Facebook page,

On January 22, 2015 at 6:28 p.m., Longview Police were dispatched to the front lobby of the Police Department for an Unknown Problem. When Officers arrived they were confronted by a white female who threatened them. The suspect brandished a weapon, made threatening movements toward the officers and was shot. The suspect was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center where she were pronounced dead by a Justice of the Peace. The Texas Rangers have been called in to investigate this shooting.

Coignard had suffered from mental illness and had attempted suicide in the past, according to her family. Anonymous has since issued a threat to the city of Longview in retaliation for the shooting, claiming they had already compromised the city's website. Anonymous questioned the officers' choice to open fire instead of using a taser or attempting to overpower and disarm Coignard.
