Daylan Honeycutt — a childhood friend of Kellie Pickler and key character of Season 1 of her reality show — has been arrested and charged with several crimes that stem from an early June domestic incident. The 29-year-old starred as himself in I Love Kellie Pickler on CMT. He was staying with the singer and her husband during filming.

Honeycutt’s first arrest came on June 2 in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The Daily News Journal reports that he was charged with domestic assault after the alleged victim went to police, saying she feared for her and her child's safety. She indicated that the two lived together, and WGNS radio would later refer to her as his girlfriend.

It’s not clear what led to the victim’s complaint, but when police accompanied her back home, the reality star at first refused to come to the door. Police entered the home and restrained a “verbally aggressive” Honeycutt, charing him with domestic assault.

Last week, the Daily Journal said that Honeycutt went to the victim’s house, forced open the garage door, kicked in a door that leads into the house and destroyed items. She then got into her car and followed him, but exited on Highway 840 and contacted police. When police caught up with Honeycutt again, they found items that allegedly belonged to the victim in his car, so he was charged with criminal contempt, domestic assault, vandalism over $1,000, aggravated burglary and false imprisonment.

Honeycutt hasn’t talked about the incident specifically on social media, but on June 10 he expressed some sadness. “I miss Murfreesboro and the wonderful and amazing person I lived w there,” he said. Two weeks earlier he shared that he was working at restaurant Dicks Last Resort in Nashville, adding “I need to apologize I will not be on season 2 of the show b/c of personal issues love u all and plz watch the show on season 2 with or with out me its gonna be good. (sic)”

The official I Love Kellie Pickler website on CMT no longer lists Honeycutt as a star, although his character page is still active. There he describes his relationship with both Pickler and her husband Kyle Jacobs, calling Jacobs a mentor. His job was listed as personal trainer.

In April, Pickler told Taste of Country that her in-laws would play pivotal roles during Season 2 of the reality series, which they filming at that time. The new season is set to debut in August. Musically, it's not clear what Pickler is working on. She recently announced a split from her record label, Black River Entertainment.
