Jason Aldean Takes the ‘Good With the Bad’ Regarding Recent Infidelity Scandal

Jason Aldean‘s infidelity scandal is no doubt a hot topic of conversation for the country superstar as he embarks on a national media campaign to promote the release of his latest studio album, ‘Night Train,’ though it’s probably a conversation he wants to avoid.

But despite the personal repercussions suffered after photos surfaced of Aldean kissing a woman that was not his wife, the CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee seems to be picking up the pieces and moving full-speed ahead with his superstar career.

“When it comes to fame, obviously you take the good with the bad,” Aldean tells E! Online of his indiscretion, adding, “Things going on with us recently have been unfortunate, you know.” The singer stopped in to visit the NBC Experience Store yesterday (Oct. 15) to talk about his new record, which hit stores today (Oct. 16).

“Family’s good, we’re working through it,” he spills of his wife and two young daughters. “We’re just trying to move on, that’s the biggest thing. And, hopefully, people will allow us the privacy to do that — and that’s kinda it.”

Earlier this month, the ‘Take a Little Ride’ singer used his official Facebook page to post a public apology after the pictures surfaced, admitting, “The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar.” He continued, “I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that’s the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself.”

“I’m not perfect, and I’m sorry for disappointing you guys,” said the singer. “I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support.”

Judging by the three-week stay at No. 1 for ‘Take a Little Ride‘ and the enormous buzz surrounding the release of ‘Night Train,’ it seems as though Aldean’s cheating indiscretion will only be a small blip in an otherwise ever-skyrocketing career. The new 15-song collection is expected to exceed the first week sales of his previous effort, ‘My Kinda Party,’ which sold an impressive 190,000 copies in its first week of release in November 2010.

“You know what, I know a couple of years ago everybody was trying to stop doing full-length albums. Everybody was doing this six or eight song CD thing and I didn’t get into that. It’s hard enough for me to narrow down the songs to 15,” Aldean exclusively told Taste of Country Nights regarding the generous ‘Night Train’ track listing. “I don’t wanna try to narrow it down to eight, you know. So my thing, I figure give people more songs for the same money (instead of) less songs for the same money. That just doesn’t make sense to me.”

Additional media stops include a visit to ‘Good Morning America’ today (Oct. 16) and ‘Live! With Kelly and Michael’ tomorrow (Oct. 17). Aldean is also scheduled to perform during the Nov. 1 CMA Awards ceremony, where he will compete for three trophies, including Entertainer and Male Vocalist of the Year.
