Late Tuesday night (March 6), Jerrod Niemann‘s tour bus went up in flames in Chattanooga, Tenn., Taste of Country has learned. The ‘Lover, Lover’ hitmaker appeared at Heart Strings for Hope, a benefit for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and was just wrapping up when the bus broke out in flames around 10:45PM ET.

Niemann was with fellow country crooner Lee Brice — who helped write Niemann’s newest single, ‘Shinin’ on Me‘ — as well as singer-songwriter Jon Stone. Stone posted a video of the bus engulfed in flames to his Facebook page, as well as the above photo of Niemann and Brice giving the camera the bird in front of the burning bus.

“The bus is on fire. Jerrod Niemann’s bus is on fire. Jerrod got jealous because Lee’s bus caught on fire, so now Jerrod’s bus is on fire,” the man filming — who we presume is Stone — said in the video. He added, “And this is really, really, really, really bad.”

The incident he was referring to happened to Brice in late January when his bus caught on fire outside of Toby Keith‘s I Love This Bar and Grill in Mesa, Arizona. Brice’s bus suffered significant damage and the singer lost some personal property as a result.

The 40-second video of Niemann’s bus in a similar state was shot before firefighters reached the scene. It appears no one was injured, as the country artists can be seen joking playfully about the event, shooting the video safe from harm in a parking garage across the street.

“There goes the tires,” Stone added at the end of the clip as the tires at the back of the bus let out their air due to the flames. “Not looking good.”

Despite his misfortune, Niemann didn’t seem to be too troubled by the tragic event — only thankful that he escaped unscathed. Just after 1:00AM, he posted to Twitter, “To be honest, thank the good Lord that @leebrice was here tonite or I’d be freddy Krueger.”

Niemann is due in Davie, Fla. for a concert on Thursday.
