All week Fresh by Brookshire's in Tyler has been celebrating "Taste of Texas" with Texas food, Texas wine and beer tastings and live entertainment. From 3 to 6 p.m. this Saturday (May 4) come out for the 3rd Annual 'Steak-Off,' with KNUE.The "Steak-Off," is a competition between teams of local businesses, media, and folks who just like food, who will cook some steaks hoping to get that "Ace of Steaks" championship belt.

The judges of the "Steak-Off," will be:

Tyler Mayor, Barbara Bass, Food Editor, Christine Gardner, Kim Morris with the Tyler Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Executive Director of the East Texas Food Bank, Dennis Cullinane.

Then we get to all eat a New York Strip, a couple of delicious sides and a fresh roll, for $15.99! Kids eat free with the purchase of a steak dinner. The best part -- all proceeds benefit the East Texas Food Bank.

During the "Steak-Off," you can enjoy an afternoon of fun, family games, a classic, hot rod and custom car show and music from Stephan Cotter and the C Otters and The Steve Simmons Band.

You don't want to miss out on this family event and a delicious steak. So join KNUE as we broadcast live from the "Steak-Off" competition for this worthy cause -- helping to feed the hungry right here in East Texas.
