Join KNUE for Tyler’s First-Ever ‘Shocktoberfest’ on October 26
KNUE is holding it’s first-ever Shocktoberfest,on the square in downtown Tyler on Saturday, Oct. 26, featuring great music, great food and, of course, BEER.
Yep, KNUE is bringing Oktoberfest to East Texas, fashioned after the original Oktoberfest, the world’s largest fair held every year since 1810 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. In Germany, it’s a 16-day festival running from late September to the first weekend in October with more than 6 million people from around the world attending the event every year.
Well, KNUE’s Shocktoberfest will not last 16 days, but it will definitely be a day of awesome fun, food, music and beer.
Vendors will be displaying their goods on the square, Ted Kamel will have his delicious food and there will be beer. Lots of beer. A beer garden will be set up for those who would like to sample some of the best brews, from imports to domestics!
Of course, what’s a party without music? KNUE has three fabulous bands performing for the day — Nashville country rockers, Flynnville Train will be the headliner. Flynnville Train was originally signed to Toby Keith’s label, Show Dog, and is now with Amp Entertainment LLC.
Also performing during Shocktoberfest are the Mallet Brothers Band and Jessie Brown Band.
This full day of fun, food, shopping local vendors, music and beer. garden, will be the talk of the town!
