It seems like everyday is a different special day, but Friday, June 1 is a day that we can all get in on. This particular day is 'Say Something Nice Day'

Words have power, and when used in a positive way they can affect everything and everyone around you. This Friday, I would encourage you to not only say something nice to everyone that you come in contact with, but also to yourself.

When you encounter your spouse or family first that thing that morning, be kind and compliment them or wish them a good morning. Before you criticize their behavior for some minor infraction, pause and reflect on how grateful you are that they are in your life.

A friend of mine passed away earlier this week of a massive heart attack at the age of 47, and I'm absolutely heartbroken. He was smart, opinionated, kind and generous with his friends and efforts. He was a faithful volunteer in our community, and he will be missed by so many people that he touched.

Words are powerful tools that can help or hurt you. Be careful with how you use them, and remember on Friday to say something nice to as many people as you can. Think about the change you could make as that ripple effect moves on around you.

Start by telling yourself that you are good. Say to yourself:

I am healthy, and I am wealthy and I am wise. I am happy. I am successful.

The list could go on and on. Watch the video and create your own affirmations to improve your life by saying something nice to yourself first, and then others!
