East Texas "Golden" girl Kacey Musgraves is stepping out in a big way this week. Musgraves is set to perform before a national audience Wednesday when she takes the stage on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

But if you've been keeping track, you know this will not be the Golden, TX native's national television debut. That came courtesy of the television talent competition "Nashville Star." Then more recently, just this past December, she sang with Eli Young Band at the CMT Artists of the Year Concert.

Musgraves', fresh and honest delivery seem to have made her the heiress apparent in country music, and deservedly so. Her debut single "Merry Go Round" is steadily climbing the charts, she is nominated for New Female Vocalist of the Year. On top of that later this year she'll be touring with country's king-of-stadium-sell-out-shows, Kenny Chesney.

Be sure to set your DVR's to record Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this Wednesday Feb. 13. If I were you I'd set it to record a couple extra minutes on the end too, just in case.
