Kansas City Chiefs Player Commits Suicide at Team Facility

Linebacker Javon Belcher of the Kansas City Chiefs committed suicide at the team’s practice facility at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday morning, police say.National and local press reports say that the player fatally shot his girlfriend at a house in Kansas City before driving to the stadium and killing himself at 8 a.m. local time.

Police say there were no other injuries in the incidents.

The Chiefs (1-10) will host the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. The NFL has given no indication that it will postpone the game.
