I was lucky enough to get to visit with Kellie Picker today, and I found her delightful, genuine, and just plain fun! Since gaining fame as a contestant on Season 5 of American Idol and finishing in sixth place, Kellie says her life has been like a "wonderful whirlwind!"  With that sweet North Carolina drawl, those big brown eyes and one heck of a voice, Kellie has made her mark on country music. Kellie achieved success with several hit singles including her top t10en hit, "Best Days of My Life," which she co-wrote with her close friend Taylor Swift.

Kellie's much anticipated LP, "The Woman I Am," will be released on Nov. 11. The LP features new much written by Kellie and some her favorites too!

Kellie gained the attention of America by winning Season 16 of Dancing With The Stars with partner, Derek Hough. She blew everyone away with her mad dancing skills and killer body!

Somewhere in between touring, recording, Dancing With the Stars and life, she found love and got married to husband Kyle Jacobs.

Then last year Kellie got devastating news. Her best friend, Summer Miller, was diagnosed with breast cancer. It's funny how life throws you curve balls without notice. Kellie stood by her dear friend through it all and even shaved her hair in support of her friend. After a double mastectomy and almost done with chemo, Summer is on her way to complete healing.
