The name Eric Paslay may sound unfamiliar to most of us, but not to the world of songwriters. Eric Paslay is behind the current hit, "Friday Night" that's climbing the country charts as I write this post!

Eric has only just started singing, but he has been writing hit songs for years. Some songwriters that had a great influence on Eric were Rich Mullins, Rodney Crowell and Johnny Cash.

Eric moved to Nashville to purse a career as a singer. But while attending Middle Tennessee State University, Eric landed a job as a songwriter with Cal IV Publishing. Some of his songwriting credits include;

Jake Owen’s hit “Barefoot Blue Jean Night”,  “The Good Life” for Donny and Marie Osmond,  cuts by Lady Antebellum, Eli Young Band, Love & Theft and Rascal Flatts.

Although Eric loves to record music, he says he feels most at home on the stage. Eric has opened for Dierks Bentley, Clint Black, Eric Church, Blake Shelton and Little Big Town, among others.

We like him mostly because he reminds us of our own Buddy Logan, host of Radio Texas Live! (don't ya think!)
