This week's "Artist Spotlight" is on singer-songwriter Lee Brice. The South Carolina native has come into his own. It's been six years since Brice released his debut album and now his sophomore album, "Hard 2 Love," has the country music industry talking. Brice is a four-time Academy of Country Music nominee who has really matured in both his songwriting and vocals. Brice even admitted that he thought his first album, "Love Like Crazy" wasn't a cohesive record, but more like a lot of different songs.

Hey, I loved the first album, but I must say he really has it together on his second album. It seems Brice put more personal feelings on the album and it feels very honest.

Brice's first single off the latest album, "A Woman Like You," certainly got a lot of country fans' attention. The song immediately became the fifth-most purchased song on iTunes and sold more than 30,000 copies in a week.

Brice's smooth baritone voice and his writing skills are what draws me to his music. Some of his songwriting credits include:

"Crazy Days" for Jason Aldean, "Still" for Tim McGraw co-wrote and which was a No. 1 hit for the Eli Young Band, was nominated for an ACM award in the  “Song of the Year” category. “Crazy Girl” was Billboard’s number one country song for 2011. He even co-wrote "More Than A Memory" for Garth Brooks, which became the first song on Billboard's Hot Country Songs to chart at number one.  Then, the title track off of his own album, Love Like Crazy, was named Billboard's most played country song of 2010. It still holds the record for the longest-charting song in the history of Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

So you can see the guy has a lot of talent, that's why Lee Brice is KNUE's "Artist Spotlight" of the week.
