It is an honor and a privilege to announce our KNUE  Hometown Hero of the Week — volunteer firefighter David Brumit of the Frankston Fire Department.

David has served as a volunteer firefighter for 17 years. Starting his career in Berryville and moving on to the Frankston fire department. During his time with the department, David served as the assistant chief for 3 years. David assists the Frankston Police department on calls and works on police vehicles too.

David was nominated by Lauren White. Here is what Lauren had to say about David:

David Brumit is married to wife, April and they have two sons, Austin and Tyler. He does so much for his community and is wiling to help anyone and everyone. David helps those who are stranded on the side of the road or cutting down trees that are blocking the roads. It is so hard to put it all into words.

To show appreciation for all that David does for East Texas, David will receive a plaque courtesy of Congratulations Awards in Jacksonville.
