It's a Mother's Day weekend tradition with thousands of participants walking and running their way through the brick streets of the Azalea District of Tyler racing in hopes of finding a cure for breast cancer. The annual Tyler Komen Race For The Cure is happening Saturday, May 13th and is returning to Bergfeld Park (after being held in downtown Tyler the past couple of years).

The day will begin with a survivors breakfast at 7 a.m. followed by the 5k race at 8 a.m., a 50 yard kid's dash at 8:45 a.m. and the 1 mile run/walk at 9 a.m.

Registration is happening now and can be done up until the start of the race you want to participate in! The race will be routed through the historic Azalea District of Tyler and looking at the forecast for Saturday morning, it should be a really nice day - plenty of sunshine with a cool start of 60 and warming up to the mid 80's!
