Woodville’s Kree Harrison Sings a New Song Titled ‘All Cried Out’ on ‘American Idol’
Country powerhouse Kree Harrison sang a new song titled 'All Cried Out' on 'American Idol' Wednesday night (May 15), giving fans a preview of the song she will release as her debut single if she wins the show's twelfth season.
The song is a slower country ballad that takes full advantage of Harrison's smoky lower range in the verses, then jumps up into her powerful upper register for the choruses. Harrison delivered it a bit more tentatively than she usually approaches her performances, almost as if she was having a hard time hearing herself, though she still gave a strong performance that pointed the way to the kind of artist she might become.
Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj felt that Harrison "reached down into her gut" to connect with a more emotionally truthful side. Harrison will find out if she is the winner of season 12 on the finale Thursday night (May 16).
