Longview's Bodacious BBQ took home a big award this weekend in Houston with their unique BBQ concoction according to news-journal.com.

The HOU-ATX BBQ Throwdown 2018 was this past weekend in Houston where the top beef joints in Houston and Austin compete for top honors. Bodacious BBQ and Brett's Backyard Bar-B-Que out of Rackdale were invited as "wild cards" to the competition this year according to houstonfoodfinder.com.

Bodacious took home the coveted Judge's Choice Award for their Mexican Street Corn Dog. Cook Bryan Bingham describes what this bad boy is made of as told to the Longview News Journal:

It was a jalapeno popper stuffed with beef cheeks and elotes and wrapped in prosciutto, then it was deep fried in an elotes corn dog batter, topped with Mexican crema, Cotija cheese, then it had cilantro and our brisket rub.

Dude! (Not sorry for your stomach rumblings right now.)

Amazingly, this is the first contest that Bodacious BBQ has competed in. You will get to try the Mexican Street Corn Dog at Bodacious BBQ on Moberly Ave. in Longview. However, that location does not have a fryer so it will come out a little different.

Does it really matter? This thing sounds amazing.
